Have a look this amazing green-theme building in Hong Kong, China. It is 18 Kowloon East, a 28-storey mixed-use building with offices, retail spaces and a car park designed by Aedas. Seeking to balance out the heavily industrialized blocks making up the site, the design features a multi-storey green base that provides a ‘greening effect’ within the neighbourhood.
“The project is a 28-storey mixed-use building with offices, retail spaces and a car park. A design with efficient office floor plates and a rational box were requested by the client.
Kowloon Bay, once dependent on manufacturing, is undergoing transformation of rejuvenation. With the building located in a community with dense industrial blocks, instead of providing another office tower entirely wrapped in a coolly glazed skin, the design investigates the possibility of providing an environmentally sustainable design in such an industrial area. The target is to contribute a greening effect to the neighbourhood and enhance the quality of life for users in the building as well as the pedestrians on the street level.
With ‘green’ as the theme, the final design introduces extensive planting at the car park floors located at the lower portion of the tower. In addition to the visually greening effect to the neighbourhood, the planting also filters the air and improves the air quality within the car park. Hopefully, the suspended particulates in the air can be reduced and the design is able to provide car park users a more pleasant experience.”

The new Public School and Primary Roldan (CEIP), amazing green school design covered in grass in southern Spain. Great school design by Spanish architecture firm Estudio Huma. This green school is literally covered in grass, it makes the school definitely different from typical school. From above, you’ll see such beautiful green like an extreme miniature golf course, completely wrapped in Astroturf. It has playful school interior design and features a horizontal layout that ensures plenty of space in case an expansion would need to be added. Considering the growth of population expected in the new years in the town. The design also allowed the architects to create some secluded playgrounds. The buildings act as a protection mechanism and by jointing the edges of some of the structures they’ve managed to create a safe and fun place for the kids. The exterior of the buildings is entirely covered in turf grass. This ensures a uniform look and a fun and unusual design. The interior of the buildings was designed keeping simplicity and minimalism in mind.

Maison Val d’Entremont, fascinating home designed by Savioz Fabrizzi Architectes located in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. This house might has simple shape, but inside and outside of it would be different. The large glass wall lets the sun shine through the room, wonderful views around the house, and more for its interior design. Check the detail from the pictures showed at the end of this post!
According to HomeDsgn, Maison Val d’Entremont by Savioz Fabrizzi Architectes:
“The site, situated on top of the village benefits of a marvelous 360° view. Thanks to its downhill position and the incline there is an overview of the village and its houses and an impressive alpine panorama. On the back an arrangement of terraced pastures give this place a peaceful character.
The building has a simple shape, it is a parallelepiped rectangle with a saddleback roof, in the tradition of the other houses in the village. There are three levels, the middle one being the day-lounge. Being entirely glazed this level benefits of the panoramic view mostly.
The facades are made of pre-weathered wood which will gradually get darker and adapt to the barns of the village to be integrated and become a timeless building.
In the open living-room which has a brown concrete floor and ceiling some walls are blinded with polished stainless steel in order to reinforce the panoramic view.
The bedrooms on the top floor and the small apartment in the basement are designed in a more conceptional way, entirely painted in white using resin and paint. A small area is used for the entrance and the garage in the basement of the site. it connects to the house with a staircase.
Thanks to a good thermal isolation and high-performing technical installations the property is built using “minergie” standard. The heat production is given by a geothermic heating pump and non-glazed solar collectors.”

The hillside residence always be a great place when someone wants to get closer to the nature. With the modern touch of the design, this hillside residence seems comfortable and looks stylish. Some information from the architects about this project : “Situated on a hillside site, the Graticule House is conceived to be a trace, or reference datum, allowing a reading of the relationship between the building and nature. Fundamental to the conception of the house is the notion of cadence, where repetitious vertical and horizontal markers of the building’s tectonics are juxtaposed with the particularity of the forest and ground plane.
